One of the main advantages of a job fair for the job seeker is that the job seeker is able to come in contact with the person who could potentially hire you for a position. This is a rare opportunity that the job seeker typically does not have turning in or e-mailing a resume/application.

That’s why financial institutions, not-for-profits, schools, libraries, and lots of others are joining together to help support financial education during Wisconsin’s fourth annual Money Smart Week – October 10-17.
Hundreds of educational classes, seminars and activities will take place around the state and focus on financial topics for all ages and walks of life. This calendar of events features activities that are taking place close to where you live but a full state-wide schedule can be found online at:

Wisconsin’s Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP) provides assistance for heating costs, electric costs, and energy crisis situations. The program is operated by local social and human service agencies. For most families, the heating/electrical assistance payment will be sent directly to the fuel supplier. The amount of the heating/electrical assistance benefit varies according to household size, income level, and household heating cost. You will receive a notification from the Division of Energy Services informing you of your benefit amount. Your vendor will credit the amount to your account.
Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance (WHEAP) Heating Assistance is a one-time payment each heating season (October 1 through May 15). It is intended to help pay a portion of heating costs and does not pay the total annual heating cost.
Many households will be eligible to receive a payment for non-heating electric energy costs through funding provided by the State’s Public Benefits Program. The non-heating electric payment will be sent directly to your electric provider.
WHEAP Crisis Assistance can provide emergency and non-emergency services. Households without heat, with a disconnect notice, or nearly out of heating fuel with no way to pay for heating needs, may be eligible for Emergency Crisis Assistance.
Weatherization helps homeowners and renters reduce energy use while increasing comfort in their homes. This program is operated by a local community agency. Depending on the results of a home audit, homes may receive one or more of a variety of energy efficiency measures.

You may be eligible for WHEAP and Weatherization services if your gross income for the last three months is less than the amount shown below for your family size.

All assistance is FREE, and open to everyone.
