May 2011 features two excellent opportunities in the Sheboygan area to meet employers and potentially gain employment. May 5, 2011 features the regional job fair at Lakeshore Technical College. Please visit http://gotoltc.edu/jobfair/ for information on the job fair and employers. May 11, 2011 features a local youth fair. This is a great chance for local youth to meet some employers and gain employment for the summer.
Job fairs are a great way to enhance employment chances because you often get to meet the person responsible for hiring at that company. You are setting yourself up for success if you dress professionally, bring a resume, and have a positive attitude. For assistance with interviewing skills and resume development, please visit the local job center on Wilgus Ave. and our professionals will assist you.

Every Other Wednesday from 9 to 11 AM,
Dec 22, Jan 5 & 19, Feb 2 & 16, Mar 2, 16 & 30
Conducted by your Veterans Employment Representative from the Office of Veterans Services
Purpose:
• Provide an overview of the services available to veterans through Job Service
• Give an opportunity for veterans to ask general questions
• Provide an opportunity to schedule one-on-one appointments with the Veterans Employment Representative
Learn about:
• Job searching tips & techniques
• Resume & cover letter development
• Interviewing skills
• More intensive services, as needed
• Referrals to other benefits, services, programs, such as, County Veterans Service Officer, Division
of Vocational Rehab, Human Services, etc.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
2010 – 2011 WISCONSIN HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Economic Support Division is taking applications for the 2010-2011 Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program. Sheboygan County residents who need help with their heating or electric bills should call 459-3207 for an appointment. Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Persons already receiving W-2, Food Stamps, Child Care, or Medical Assistance should contact their assigned Economic Support Specialist for an appointment.
Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance eligibility is based on the total gross income of all household members during the preceding three months, the 2010-2011 income limits are as follows:
Household of 1: $6,142
Household of 2: $8,032
Household of 3: $9,921
Household of 4: $11,811
Household of 5: $13,701
Household of 6: $15,591
Income limits increase as family size increases.
Applications must provide verification of the following information for all household members, including minors:
- Social Security Numbers
- Alien registration cards (if applicable)
- Gross Wages
- All unearned income
- Account numbers for your heat and electric bills
If heat is included in the rent, the name and address of the landlord
